Apart from going on safari with guests, we’re very much involved in developing our region. Therefore we decided to transfer 20 euro to the community for every guest we host in Endallah. The money will go to a community-fund and will be used for local development: the construction of a secondary school, the installation of solar panels on the roof of the dispensary, improving the water distribution, scholarships, and so on. At this moment we’re working on a ‘teacher’s fund ‘ that aims to give loans to local graduated secondary school students who want to become a teacher.
Therefore we made an agreement with the district that these teachers will be appointed in Endallah or one of the 4 neighbouring villages. By doing so we try to give local people more chances and hope that they will be motivated to teach the next generation in return. The guests are free to check out and see how their money is spent.
